The Most Valuable Card You Own

What is the most valuable card in your wallet? What card gives you unlimited
power to join the Information Age? What is the smartest card you can own? The
answer to all three of these questions is: your Marshall Public Library card! Why is
your library card so powerful? It is the key to a vast world of printed and digital
knowledge and, after all, knowledge is power.

In addition to Marshall’s own extensive collection of printed media and access to
the collections of other libraries, we also provide access to many “members only”
online databases, including the Auto Repair Reference Center and Heritage Quest
Online. Our Idaho Archives is a treasure trove of rare books and other
publications with information on Idaho’s past and present, especially focusing on
Bannock County. The library also offers basic computer classes as well as other
workshop opportunities. Most importantly, the library comes with an expert staff
at your disposal, eager to help you power up your life as you develop new skills,
activate new life strategies, and even re-explore old interests.

September is National Library Card Sign-up month, and Marshall Public Library
would like to sign YOU up! If you are a resident of the City of Pocatello, you are
eligible for a library card. Please bring with you a valid photo ID and proof of
address such as a bill or other official document that has been mailed to you. If
you are NOT a Pocatello resident but have a card from another area library, you
can still access the power of Marshall. Please have ready your current library card
and a valid photo ID when you come see us at 113 S. Garfield in Old Town
Pocatello. Plug into the power of Marshall and energize your life!

Trent Clegg, Reference Librarian
